As President of Omni Senior Living, Mario Sinicariello plays a leadership role in underwriting projects, executing the company’s strategic plan, and guiding all aspects of operations. Integrally involved in the management of the private equity funds, especially defining and executing each project’s “capital stack,” he also initiates and maintains relationships with investors and lenders. Other central responsibilities include consulting on project feasibility, ensuring that the design phase of facilities aligns with senior care needs, and overseeing the company’s accounting, human resources, strategy, and planning functions. His extensive experience with senior living facilities makes him invaluable in selecting and advising senior living operators.
Mario brings 20 years of senior living expertise to his position after running all aspects of operations at skilled care and assisted living communities for TransCon Builders, Inc. His experience includes management, regulatory compliance, and P&L performance of more than 800 beds/units with annual gross revenues of $80 million. In addition to oversight experience with finances, business development, marketing and human resources, he has led a 1,000-person workforce.
Early in his career Mario was an investment real estate lender for National City Bank (now PNC), where he structured and underwrote loans for real estate owners and developers of senior living communities, other commercial use (office, multi-family and retail shopping space) and land development.
Mario is a member of the American Health Care Association and has served on the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Association of Health Care Facilities, the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Assisted Living Association, and the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Alzheimer’s Association.
A graduate of Baldwin Wallace University with a B.A. in Business Administration, Mario also holds a Certificate in Health Care Administration from Quinnipiac University.
Mario’s rich multi-ethnic background includes Italian and Hungarian grandparents and birth in Uruguay, where he caught soccer fever as a boy. Mario’s other sports passion is golf, and he enjoys jet skiing, particularly near his lake house in Huron, Ohio.
Mario and his wife Ellen live in Shaker Heights, Ohio, and have two adult daughters.
